    Scrubbed.

Aborted at T-1:37 by Range Safety because of a boat in the keep out zone, under the flight path of the first stage.

Reset and rechecked the rocket, then restarted countdown. Launch was aborted after ignition, at about T-0:01.

The problem could not be diagnosed in the short time left in the launch window, so after several minutes of troubleshooting, decision was made to scrub.

Those sound like worthwhile goals. But going to the moon again and going to Mars? No, why go to the moon again? And going to Mars (and returning) is impossible given our current technology.

Live coverage: Falcon 9 launch aborted at last moment

    18:29 Next launch attempt Tuesday

SpaceX has set Tuesday as the next launch attempt for the Falcon 9 rocket carrying the SES 9 communications satellite into orbit.

Tomorrow's launch window will open at 6:35 p.m. EST (2335 GMT), a few minutes earlier than previous launch attempts, to give SpaceX a better chance of avoiding issues with upper level winds, the company said in a brief statement.

The launch window extends until 8:05 p.m. EST (0105 GMT).
    ...
SpaceX’s live video coverage begins at 6:25 p.m. EST (2325 GMT).

Actually, it can be a hammer on the aircraft when you are subsonic.

One time, during a climbout from Florida one night in a Lear, I hit some shear that was associated with a nearby thunderstorm. It felt like Thor hit us with his Uru hammer.

    Success. Finally. Fifth attempt.

Smooth launch. Smooth delivery of the SES-9 satellite.

Lost signal from drone ship at the moment the bright light of the first stage rocket fire appeared at the top of the frame. Looked like rocket was too far off to the side; probably crashed. Won't know until later.
