If you just call another contractor in to fix it. It could be on your dime.

Goodman's website has a contact us. You can probably email pics to them through that.

PS--Can you believe it? I can get a "Goodcare" service agreement with this outfit!!! (They never mentioned it to me, though.)

    Confused New symptom?

Sorry, I am just sitting here obsessing as I listen to the unit. I don't know if this is an entirely new symptom or whether it has been occuring since installation...but before the heat pump clicks on to cool, it makes this whoo-whoo-whoo sound (kind of like a car trying to start).

I don't think anyone on the site sees you as an easy mark, just stay on top of things, one way or another you will get it resolved.

Not trying to stick up for your contractor.
But, he may have reamed his guys out back at the shop after he saw your install. And he may be trying to fugure when he can send them back to fix everything that he doesn't like.

    Or not.

Let's hope that is the case.

I certainly hope that is the case! But, wouldn't ethical practices require that not only would he ream them privately, but would proactively fix the problems he saw?

Could be that this has a happy ending. I'm beginning to think he is either a yahoo hack or is taking ruthless advantage of me. I HATE when professional people talk down to me! I'm a reasonably smart person, and if they only explained things (like you all have done), I'm likely to catch on! I SO appreciate the snap educaiton you all have given me!

Also, don't forget that he actually SIGNED the unit! What does that mean?
