aprilaire 2200 filter upside down
the contractor installed the filter upside down on accident. he says because of the accordian style filter, he says it will work just fine. it does look like the air flow will be the same either way. any opinions?

So what holds the filter media in place when the combs are on the entering air side of the filter?
If more government is the answer, then it's a really stupid question.

it doesnt have a problem staying in place. it is in there pretty sound and solid

As long as the air flow is going in the direction of the arrow on the filter frame there should be no probolem. When you flow thru the element backwards it will push the element out of the pleat spacers.
