How many people in the USA, own residential HVAC systems?
I have 1.
I have hot water heat and window air conditioners. Does that count?
Count me in for one, at this pace it's going to be awhile before we get a final number.
Google is your friend.
http://www.eia.doe.gov/kids/energyfa...residence.html - "Over three-fourths of single-family homes have some type of air conditioning."
Now all you have to do is find the number of single-family homes in the United States of America (I couldn't find this info, sorry).
I know the answer...
A LOT!
I know one that doesn't (doesn't even have duct work)
I do this for a living, and I don't have A/C, and run baseboard heat... go figure!
"If you call that hard work, a koala’s life would look heroic."
Multi Family also.
All I know is this: There is enough a/c's to keep us all busy, especially during this time of the year!
I feel deeply for those on the east coast that have/had no A/C in their homes this past heat wave.
I believe the man who services my system is one of them.
I live in N.C. and trust me...it's been tough. You wouldn't believe how many capacitors we've changed these past few weeks!
