Need help - Bryant vs Trane vs York
Need an AC for a townhouse (1350 sq feet, 2 story). Would only use 2 months or so in a yr.
1. Bryant model 123RNA03000 (2.5 T)
vs.
2. Trane XR13 - Model 2TTR3036 (3.0 T)
3. York MC2
Any recommendations?
I was more comfortable with the guy who gave quotes for York & Trane but the Bryant was quite cheap compared to the other 2. So just want to make sure I am not buying something which start giving problems in couple of years.

What are the model numbers of the matching coils?

None of them did any actual calculation besides asking for sq footage of the house. I am not sure about the coil model numbers. The furnace is carrier but don't know the model number.

3 tons sounds huge for your size home. A load calculation is needed to properly determine size. What was the size of the old unit, and did it perform well? The Bryant and Trane use R-22 refrigerant, which is being phased out, if that matters to you--not sure about the York.
What is the indoor unit model number (coil or air handler) for each quote?

Yea, 3 ton does seem very big for a mild climate with decent humidity.
The Bryant is the bottom line, the Trane is the better of their 2 13 SEER units. Gotta be more specific on the Yorkie.

The TCGD2, TCG4, and TCGF4 series, all are MC2 coils.(aluminumn micro channel)
Which one did they quote.
