who said you can't stop a Trane
Saturday night my upstairs AC went out, temps hit 102F Sunday, 90F in my
house upstairs. This is a Trane XR12 installed 08/2005. Still have a few
years left on the warranty so this morning I call the AC guys who installed the system.
They are totally swamped and it will be Thursday or Friday before they can come out.
Bummer, so I decide I better at least open the panel to see if its something easy,
before it gets to 100F upstairs.
Remove the panel and look inside :
Whats that brown thing in the relay:

Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time :

Extracted the "bug" , turned the breaker back on , unit started right up , an hour later its 77F upstairs :-)

You need to hookup with Marge
I think she will have a class action suit against bugs. (joking you look for the ants thread)
Yep you got bugs in the ole contactor syndrome.
