Questions on a new Trane xr14

I found this forum to be helpful when I was looking to have a new central air installed. Now I could use a little help.

I live in NJ and had a Trane XR 14 2 ton condenser and 2.5 ton variable speed air handler installed in the attic. House is about 1200 sq ft. Manual J was completed. Just got to be about 90 + this weekend and am using unit for first time.

I set the t-stat to 73 and it ran for at least an hour with the inside temp reading at 73. I turned the t-stat up to 74 to shut it off. It re-started when temp hit 74 and now runs about 20 minutes on 5 minutes off. The temp on the t-stat consistently reads 74 with the unit running. Is this normal or do I have a problem?

Next I noticed a leak from inside the condenser. Forgive my lack of knowledge but this is the best description I can give, it looks like its where a piece of copper tubing is welded into a small piece of copper attached to condenser. Is this normal or do I need to have installer come out and look at it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

By leak, do you mean it leaking/dripping water. If so, its normal.
Its currently 92 outside in my area, my stat is st to 72, and its 72 in my house. My units has been running non stop since 11:57 AM. Its now 4:02 PM here.

My unit is working the way its suppose to. If I raised the stat to 74 it would cycle on and off.

    Sounds good to me.

There is a cold suction line in the outdoor unit that is not insulated. In this weather it sweats so seeing water in outside unit is normal.
