    Collars Sweating

The collars that connect my ducts to the main lines (not sure what I should be calling it) are sweating today. They are in my garage. The garage is not climate controlled. Enough condensation occurs that it actally drips off the collars onto the floor of the garage Today is the hottest and most humid day we have had this year and this is the first time it has happened. I have been running the system for a few months. I am in PA.

Is this normal or is it indicative of a problem? If it is a problem, what is the the remedy? If any work is needed to be done, it will be done by the licensed contractor who did the intsall.

They are sweating because they are cooler than the dewpoint of the air in your garage. You should have them insulated to correct this.
