I know that this is probably already been address but.....
Do you have the humidity function on your stat enabled? That would cause problems as well.
remote sensor requires twisted pair of wiring. Now, the question is do you have an outdoor temp sensor or an indoor temp sensor.I fully support the military and the War on Terrorism.
If you don't know, then don't do. If you don't know and still do, then be prepared to pay someone else a lot to undo what you did and then do it right.
If you do know, then do. But do it right. Otherwise, you may not be doing it long.

In heating mode, my stat is set to humidify using my Trane 500 humidifier. I suspect you aren't asking about that, so..
In cooling mode, my stat is set to the "dehumidify using A/C" setting (I could look up the code if needed). I have the allowed amount of overcooling set to 3 degrees.
My remote sensor is an outdoor sensor, I do not have a remote indoor sensor.
It definitely is not twisted pair. I assume my installer didn't use it because the installation manual does not call for it (not that I can find, at least).
Do folks here think I should look into replacing that cable with twisted pair?
