    Hmm whats up with this?

At a unit today, cust. says 6 yrs. old, one changed compressor nothing else ever serviced. He is just not comfortable in home( 96 yesterday) well bet no one has had this. 6 year old Tempstar outdoor unit pulling air from top and blowing out sides. Wow what a condensor temperature split. Anyway it was 9 45 so i have to go back today to investigate.

Wasn't there a post not too long ago about this issue with another poster who had similar problems with the fan running and blowing the same as was explained here in this post. If I remember correctly the fan wiring was backwards or wiried in reverse polarity causing the fan to blow dow and out the side of the OD unit ? Something to check.

I have found it a number of times, twice the motor wouldn't reverse and had to be replaced... both times a trip saver motor.

I have seen it a few times too...resi and commercial both.

Nothing better than when I would get one on a Voyager.....one fan pulling air in and the other pushing it out....not a damned bit of air across the coils! LOL

How does someone use a "trip saver" and then not check the rotation after they put it in?? Job security....
