    Furnace rentals

I'm just curious, I know you can rent a water heater. Are there furnace rentals anywhere?

That's very interesting. What does something like that cost a month? I wonder if that would be a profitable business here in New York

By the time you finish paying off the furnace you probably end up paying several thousand dollars more than what's it worth.

That's exactly what happens. My dad rented a hot water tank from Union gas back in 83 @ $13/month.
We didn't pull it out until 26 years later. Total cost of rental $4258.
Cost of replacement at Home Depot for a 40gal rheem $470.

I guess it's like leasing a car or paying a mortgage. If you cant write a check for it, you pay in installments....and pay and pay.

So if you have a new home and you want to rent a furnace, you would have to buy the ductwork installation separate?

I think the rental cost would depend on what you install.. I just send in a sales guy.

sales men like this get told no thanks and shown the door.
his sole purpose is to sell new equipment even if the slightly older stuff works just fine and might not be that inefficient .
if a pro wants a new system he can install it him self or call someone who can
