Obama Shows His Cards
Here's proof that Obama wants to "stack" the liberal deck in the Supreme Court. Look out, Second Amendment. Obama's recent words:
"I think the Democrats are going to be focused on who's going to stop the war, who's going to be making Supreme Court appointments, who's going to have a serious energy policy, who's going to bring good jobs and good wages, who's going to continue the Bush tax cuts and who's going to give a middle class tax cut,"."Excellence is the gradual result of always striving to do better"

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the Constitution doesn't have any allies running for public office

Supposing you are correct, then what? Are you saying there is absolutely no difference between Obama and McCain, in this regard? For me, if socialism were a brand of beer, Obama would be Miller and McCain, Miller Lite. Health wise, you are better off with McCain.
My guess is that you know that too but have other motives."Excellence is the gradual result of always striving to do better"

It's like having to choose from two snakes bites, one has a more potent venom than the other one so you may die quicker from his bite but the bottom line is both of their bites will kill you.
All that we have accomplished for some number of years now is choosing the lesser of two evils

Well...I guess I can not disagree there. That being said, where do we go from here? Are you going to sit on the side lines and hope Obama does not win? For me, I'll take the snake with the slower killing venom. It gives me more time to get the anti-venom and survive. Never give up a fight that is worth winning. That fight is freedom and is worth your life. Besides, what is life with out it?

McCain's showing his cards too. What's the latest scheme he's cooking up? $tax credit for buying your own health insurance.
Okay, let me just say that coming from someone who paid $7,000 this year for premiums, copays and deductibles,
a tax credit which will reduce my taxable income by $5000 or so is not going to help people by and large.
He's not going to appoint strict constructionist justices. Remember, the gang of 14? He was the big mav PREVENTING Mr. Bush from appointing more conservative folks to the bench.
McCain-Feingold--Bye, bye First Amendment rights at election time. Also, known as the Incumbent Protection Act.
McCain-Kennedy--variations of this are still being pushed through during the current legislative session to bolster the cheap labor being supplied from the hot-blooded regions of this hemisphere.
The lesser of two evils? ....is still evil.
In reply, I will say that I love to be the bearer of good news. The Constitution has an ally running for POTUS. His name is Ron Paul.I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the Constitution doesn't have any allies running for public officeIt's great to be alive and pumping oxygen!

I don't think none of us will live to see the day when our country recovers from what is about to happen no matter who gets elected. I hope it will be McCain only because he is not as radical as the Democrats are but he is radical and way to liberal. I think we are screwed. Blow our money on a false Global Warming scare, to giving our wealth to the UN to allowing terrorists to treated like guests in an internment camp, to taxing the private sector to the point of negative growth, etc.

Screw the Pugs and Dems, it's time for the Elder Party!
If more government is the answer, then it's a really stupid question.

With our really having very little choice in a presidential candidate, it leads us to fantasize of, albeit far fetched, interesting possibilities that could right the innevitable upcoming wrong.
With Obama being the first American president who is a person of color and mixed race, he is surely going to be a target for whackos of several persuasions. Following Hillary Clinton's lead; what if Obama were elected and then assasinated? This could be a bit of a wake up call for American voters.
Likewise, if McCain is elected and dies in office just because he is so old, could this also be a wake up call? Either scenario would make the choice of Vice President the most important factor of the upcoming election and either scenario makes the possibility of our next president dying in office more of a reality then ever before in the history of the United States.
We have some very interesting times ahead. In the very near future there is going to need to be some very important decisions made about the security of the United States from the points of view of outside aggresions (Islamic terrorism and possibly China if things don't go well during the upcoming Olympics), economical concerns over having less to sell and being more reliant on having to purchase as well as general internal political/social issues that are more and more binding Americans under the yoke of law being abused to enhance special interest groups.
