Hey Everyone,
Hope you can help. Came home this afternoon and found my AC unit (condensing unit) was making an unusual noise. Went over and found that the fan was not working but it sounded as if the compressor was. Everything was pretty hot. No breaker blown. Decided to replace the fan motor. Wired everything back up but the fan did not work. I have a GMC unit that is probably 10-12 years old. Has been working great with no problems. Wondering if the capacitor is bad. When I turn everything on, the compressor kicks in and gets very hot quickly, but the fan is not working. The relay seems to be working when I hit the thermostat.
Any help would be appreciated!
