Finding 12" Metal duct both flexible & Static

I'm an automotive painter and I recently bought a professional spray booth to take my work to the next level.

The motor I have on the booth is 1/4 h.p with a 12" opening for duct work.

I couldn't find what I needed at my local home improvement stores and I need to find a couple of elbows and standard straight line duct work in a hurry.

The inside diameter of the fan is 12"

Where would I be able to find something like that without having to order it and wait for it to arrive.

    Thanks for the help

Your local HVAC contractor. He can even install it for youo.

How many times must one fix something before it is fixed?

Have you considered using the retangular or square eqiviolent to the 12" round duct you need. I would think thsquare or retangular ducting would be more readily availible than the larger round ducting. Most home centers carry the retangular, square ducting.

Adding elbows will reduce the airflow, did the install instructions include info. on this??

Round elbows will be less restrictive than square ones, unless turning vanes are added.

    Good answer.
We only want to do it, if we can do it right.

    Thanks for the great info.

Actually, Dash, the instructions did not include ducting, which I think is pretty ridiculous considering it is such a important part of the equation.

Yes, it is a round fan so the square will not work in this situation, also, I will need two elbows and two turning vanes to make this happen because the area I'm working in is very tight. I'm going to try to upload a picture so you might be able to help me get this done.

    I appreciate the help, immensely!

these are two shots of the very short area that I'm not sure if I could duct to, but there is another glass block set of windows a short distance away that I could duct to.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I no very little aboutpaint booths ,but a 1/4 HP is not a lot of power.

From the pics and HP,I'd guess it's designed to exhaust stright up ,one or no elbows.

Do they provide specs on the blower and motor, showing cfm at static pressures?

How many cfms should it move to be effective for you??

I've lowered the table to accomodate for one elbow and one very short piece. This unit pulls 1100 cfms
