    bad run capacitors

Airquest hac436aka 3ton cond. unit. fan & compressor not running. Found start relay bad, start cap. blown, & dual run cap open. Replaced all start components. Unit started up and ran. I left and went to next service call. Recieved a call back unit had quit again. Went back and found run cap. swollen and very hot. New run cap was bad. Replaced run cap. Unit has run 9 days and quits again. Fan motor still running, hermetic side of cap is bad. And start cap & relay also bad. Replaced all start components and unit is running again. What do you think the problem is ? Could compressor going bad ? It has not tripped breaker at any time. I don't think I could of gotten all bad caps. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Megg them both.

Check for any wires rubbed through, grounding intermittently.
Sometimes when I consider what tremendous consequences come from little things, I am tempted to think there are no little things!

Double check your wiring diagram as well, make sure everything is wired properly.
    I need a new signature.....

check amp draws every time you replace a capacitor and it will cut your callbacks dramatically. amp draws tell you alot about the wear on electric motors and even efficiency drops. i check amp draws the same time i check charge. those two things will tell you most of what you need to know about how a unit is performing.
