    Ceiling register 8" x 14"

    As part of a recent upgrade, I need to replace the ceiling grates for two heat/cooling vents in residential property. The dementions of the vents is 8" by 14" and I have not been able to find anyone who provides a grate to fit such a size. Anyone have any suggestions on where I could find such items?

    are you measuring the hole or the grill? you have to measure the hole. is it blowing or sucking?

    Its a very standard size. I would call your local HVAC supply house, they should have plenty and probably will even sell to you. If not, call a contractor and ask them if they can get you some. If you're nice to them, they'll probably sell them to you as a gesture of goodwill.

    I would think they are standard as well but I have checked everywhere, brick and moarter stores (home depot, lowes...) hvac installers, as well as on line. Can't find them. If you have a recommendation, I am all ears.
    Also, the measurements are the actual hole which is outbound off the ceiling.

    Try this site look to the eleventh one down. Its a floor register but will work just drill two holes in it or sometimes you can buy it allready predrilled. I looked online for a while, this is the best i can do.
