Another Q-F Castile insert purchase question
The literature says that the Castile insert with the standard castiron trim set measures 42 1/2" wide. My fireplace opening is exactly 42 1/2" wide measured from brick to brick. However, measured mortar to mortar it is greater than that. Should I go with the large insert panal to be safe?

The instruction and installation manuals for most gas fireplaces come with diagrams showing the exact dimension of the equipment. I'd read that material carefully and measure what you have carefully to make sure it will fit.
Alternatively, have a dealer or installer measure it up for you.
Sometimes putting the largest possible piece of equipment in a space can make installation much more difficult, but it's hard to say whether that might apply to your situation.

Thanks Seattle. Sorry I didn't make it clear, but it is a pellet insert and the measurement I gave was for the outside trim not the stove measurement that goes into the fireplace.
