    Bad virus/worm/trojan going around

Just wanted to let you guys know there must be something new on the internet today, I started up and was attacked 30 minutes later and have been spending the last 3 hours fighting it, I've had the internet off all day soo Norton antivirus can combat it.
Just got back on to warn you guys, Looks like a combination of Trojans and Worms.

I'm getting off now these windows warnings are driving me nuts! windows keeps wanting me to install and buy their stuff I already have Norton and know it messes with certain stuff but it's up to date and soo far taking care of bussiness.

Vista is not all that bad.. I have it and it works just fine
Now I do believe it could be on some porn site's though... Hubby has had some problems in the past but Norton cleared them out for him.. Do you think he looks at that stuff? Yep-per he sure does, but wears a condom
    I hope..

I'd get another antivirus program besides Norton if I were you.

Yeah stay away from Internet explorer most of the trojan/worms attacks that. Mozilla tends to keep them pesky things away.

I got that one a while back, had to reboot my whole computer. Actually think I got it from this site, that is what was open when all the anti virus buy now windows started popping up. I got rid of Norton and have AVG free now. I had a computer guy tell me he would never purchase a virus protection program again, the free ones are usually better. He recommended the AVG, and Spy Sweeper. I liked Spybot Search and Destroy better, but haven't switched from spy sweeper yet.

    Well I'm back....whewww! what a pain!
Went to the movies to see Iron Man (EXCELLENT!) and stopped at Bust Buy after wards and decided to buy a good program...well ended up spending $70 on 2 programs, Trend Micro's 08 Antivirus and Webroot's Spy Sweeper.
I had to fight of all things popups from windows wanting me to download anit Virus and spyware programs . Now the Virus stuff is gone but I stillgotta find some stupid crap that keeps telling me I got spyware, wanting me to download their crap

Kinda ironic that I was able to recover from a Virus and Trojan attack without a hard drive wipe and the only remaining problem is these popups from anti spyware programs Guess I gotta find a decent popup blocker.

I know you guys are gonna slam me for payin soo much for software but I had no choice...I couldn't get through a download for free programs without it beig interrupted by the trojan that kept plastering my screen with random free downloads.

And I havn't been able to check out any porn in 3 days cause I've been busy..thats what I was going to do right before the attack

You had a virus on your computer before you came here. An IE cookie that you received here likely triggered the software.

This site is not loading viruses onto your PC.
Perhaps you should have read the instructions before calling.

Dang DIY computer guys are a PITA, then they come in here asking for free advice....

They ought to make it so only licensed people can work on that stuff...
