There are lots of cooling towers in Miami. Not just for chillers but a lot of water cooled heat pumps.

Are there many companies in the area who do a decent job of treating the water?

all the big buildings i ever worked on in miami have cooling towers used for

chilled water and water cooled condensers

i have seen a few residence's that have (small water tower's)

as far as water treatment, look in the yellow pages, you should be able to locate a

company that will maintain the water tower that you are servicing!

meet the company at the jobsite and make sure they test the water properly and follow up!

if I lived in Miami, I would look in the phone book.

But I live about 450 miles south of there.

You can go through the yellow pages and find a lot of info, but if you want to know who makes a good pizza you ask a local.

We are getting towers down where I am now, I think they are not cost effective here and no one treats water here. So we would be flying them in, and do not want to fly in someone who is no good.

The Hyatt has cooling towers, Check with their maint dept. I've seen their chemical feed pumps and chems, Most systems once set up, are automatic as long as you have the chemicals and everything is working properly. periodic ckecking and recording of readings is standard m.o
