Aramark-outsourcing
Any of you guys work for Aramark? How is it?
Looks like that's who is gonna be our "boss" here before long. And my opinion is that it sucks to be sold down the river by a bunch of so-called "intellectuals"...

They are good at manning concession stands and doing janitorial work. Their HVAC maintanance depts have alot to be desired. JMHO
Your poor planning does not constitute an emergency on my part!!!!

What line of work are you in? Maintenance ?
Could be a better thing. Big companies like that sometimes have better beenies. All I know about them is that they used to take care of our uniforms.

HVAC Maintenance for a large university; right now we're state employees. New administration is "going green," and Aramark has painted a rosy picture, so we'll probably be working for them until they either run everyone off or get their own people in place. Probably less pay (we don't make squat now, as it is) and definitely fewer benefits, but that's all we know right now.
Aramark took over food service a few years ago, I figure we'll end up like them. I can't stand the modern corporate mentality these days...
