    19XR Cracked Oil Line/Heater Problem

I've got a new customer who has a m300 ton under-warranty 19XR that has had an oil line repaired twice. The second time, a bracket/clamp was added. There's oil in the same area again and the chiller would not start because of low oil temp (71*). The oil heater is room temp. I did not touch it as I'm n ot playing the voided warranty game.
Is this a common problem with these machines?
I already read the thread about having to pull the compressor or forcing the heater out/in to replace it.

The clamp was a factory fix that was supposed to be added to all the chillers with the appropriate serial numbers.
As far as oil heater problems, the post you read earlier was the first problem I had heard of.

Is there a PDF of the factory bulletin available?

If the oil heater is bad a new can be installed without compressor dissassembly. Remove the oil and the oil pump-filter assembly. The existing heater may need to be bent up to remove but the replacement goes in thru the opening with no issues. Our heater was actually rubbing on the casting where the oil pressure relief valve was situated causing it to rug thru the element. Have not had any issues with cracked oil lines.

Sorry for the delay.. Did not receive a service bulletin. The stupervisor more or less said," here, put these clamps on the machines on this list." There might be a bulletin or some literature but as usual it's a state secret I'm not privy to.
    You could try hvacpartners.com .
The oil line in question supported the new style oil filter on the smaller frame sizes. I believe the line feeding the oil filter was cracking due to vibration, but it's purely conjecture on my part.

My concern is an out of balance wheel or other vibration generating issue, like bearing or shaft problems? This one cracked after they added the clamp (second repair).
    Thanks for the replies
