    Am I being petty?

I lost my Sog multi-tool the other day... I have no idea how. So I went on line to find places around here that sell them. The place I got them from no longer carries them... Anyway the only place that's around here that I can find so far is a boating supply place. I have been there before and they have their heads up their butts. Well I call them to see if they carry what I am looking for in stock or something similar. The guy says yes they still carry Sog knifes and multi-tools...he seems annoyed, imagine a customer calling to check on availability. Before I mention which one I am interested in he says hold on and I'll walk over to that counter and see what we have. Knowing that he seems annoyed I think, this guy is going to blow me off. Well we will see...so he puts me on hold and guess what...he never picks up. Now I know that the light is blinking on their phone to remind them that someone is on hold. As a matter of fact it has been for about forty five minutes, it will still be until I leave the shop. It does not cost me anything to stay on hold and on the speaker. You would think someone would pick up, even if it was just to hang up...they better not answer and ask if they can help...will they ever get an ear full... So I will buy from some other place and I will tell people around here what jerks these people are. Maybe they will only lose my business, or maybe some of the people I talked to wont buy from them...oh well.

Yes you are being petty. It's not like you lost a Leatherman.

This should be titled the Sog sob thread.

    I can arrange that.
Perhaps you should have read the instructions before calling.

I dunno. Do we want him crying even more?

Oh, got you down for Kentucky on the states thread.

I'm going to assume that the KY in your profile refers to where you live and not something you use.

KY is too expensive. I use the Equate brand.

Yes, I live in Kentucky as does davidr, rickhall, golan and pa2jonah. There are a few others as well. Vodka and cranberry are interferring with my recall.

I'm concentrating just getting at least one member per state at the moment. We can have the "most members per state" battle later.

I don't think so, but I do the same.
Years ago at Circuit City I asked an audio employee to page the salesman for the gamer area. He told me to "just look out for a girl with a red shirt and glasses." Never went back to any of them again.
