    ccn usb converter firmware issue..

    HI everyone im new here!!
I get a ccn-usb converter from Carrier, also i received a firmware upgrade for it.
I have followed the steps detailed on the instructions, and the firmaware upgrade to version 2.0 was successful; but here is the problem.
When finally restart the laptop the converter is no longer recognized.
I have tried re-installing program, drivers, etc. ; but i think that the problem is an error during the upgrade.
So, does anybody knows how to reset and reflash the converter??
    Its a B&B electronics usb-ccn(rs485) converter.
    Thanks to all.

PS: Sorry if my bad english.

If its the same one I have, I remember having to basically install it repeatedly with it plugged in each USB port and there was one port that it just will not work in . Did it work before you upgraded the firmware? Whats the Model number of it?

Thanks Hvacbyday! Yes it works after the upgrade, and still working before the upgrade. But the problem came up with the rebooting of the laptop.
The big problem is, that its no being recognized on any usb port; so i have no chances to attempt reflashing.
Dont you know if theres a recovery mode like adfu, similar to mp3 player??
The carrier model number is: 33CNUSBCCN-01
    Thanks once again!

Are you getting an error when you try to connect to something that says unable to validate product key?

ok heres what ya do. uninstall the software , reboot. Install the software before plugging in the converter, after its done dont reboot. Leave the disk In the drive and plug in the converter and follow the dialog boxes to install the usb driver. Do it for each USB port separately . Now reboot. That should take care of it.

Thanks for the reply! I did exactly what you told me .....no results at all.
I have found the upgrading log in the laptop, and seems that an error ocurred during the process; so im pretty sure that the problem is the converter firmware.
If know (or imagine) how to reset and reflash it, please let me know!
    Thanks again.

If you ran Service Tool V ver 1.0 the USB key may have been flashed to V2.0.
The part IS ONLY GOOD WITH NST V not Comfortview.
When upgrading NST V from 1 to 2 you need the fieldloader to update the USB converter.

    Ok thanks guys!
I have fieldloader software, i have flashed into version 2.0....at this point everything was good. But then came the problem, there is no connection between the laptop and the converter, so i cant flash it again.
No connection with NSTV v 1.0, and still no connection with v 2.0.....so my hands are tied up at this point....
Thats why i need some tool to erase it completely and then reflash.
    Hope you can help me!!!
    Thank for your time!!
