Another example of great work (especially nice ductwork), but something I noticed:

I don't see the variable speed logo in the corner of the Trane badge like the other variable speed air handlers. Maybe I look at little details too much. I'm assuming this is part of the same doctors office job with the 4 XL16i's. Maybe not all variable speed Trane air handlers have it. Just something I picked up.

looks nice. couple of suggestions....

i didn't see any volume dampers after the y branch i hope you've got them.

i see 2 change fittings immediately after the y branch. if you change size on the y branch itself that would save you a couple of fittings.

again... looks nice.

Does that have a aux. drain pan? I had a installer friend to omit one and it was caught after a drain was stopped up and some ceiling repair.

mechanical rooms are a wonderful thing. your work is good but why units above ceiling

we line all of our duct

if u look at the first pic. u will see the aux drain pan

this office is next door to the other office, no variable speed air handlers just XB 13's and TEC air handlers, they had a mechanical room for us but the hip trusses would not allow us to get duct out of the room so they had to go in the attic

It looked good on the outside, until I opened this thread to see every unit installed in an attic. Doesn't anyone allow contractors to install equipment in closets anymore? Then once you run your duct work in the attic, you never have to go up there again.

We are starting to see equipment in attics more and more. Even in houses that have full basements, the equipment is always installed in their f*cking attic.
