Yea, that is why I bought it. I just need a/any unit now. So the cheapest route is the 13 SEER. Furnaces are too much. Gonna call the Carrier Rep and see if this works first. Then again the guy has no clue...sad

    Only me! <shacking head>

I requires an INFINITY furnace only,it will not work without the INFINITY CONTROLER. The 24hna7 will work, but how well???
It's NOT the BRAND,it's the company that installs it!!!!!

Thanks..Going to order the 13 SEER in 5-minutes and put the 21 on Ebay and Craigslist. It should sell for the price.

That was from the distributor. For a unit that the installation date was unknown.
It was over 5 years old, but the customer claimed it was only installed for 3 or 4 years.
It was someones side job install, and the customer couldn't remember his name.
Distributor may have done that since I'm not a Carrier dealer. But, they have always treated us right.
That was about 2 years ago that they told me that.

It's in the warranty manual given to distributors by Carrier. Without proof of install date, equipment warranty starts 18 months from time of manufacture.
Perhaps you should have read the instructions before calling.

I didn't think the guy at the distributor was jerking my chain.
    Thanks for the confirmation.

So with proof of install date, the 18 months is not the limit.

We often are requested to get proof of install date, but no limit on date of install, from date of mfr..
