GE vs Whirlpool Electric hot water heater

Need to replace my electric hot water heater and looking at a 50 gal. GE SmartWater and Whirlpool. Both have a 12 yr warranty, 4500 watts. Any experience with these and any comments good or bad.

I have a 50-gallon GE SmartWater water heater that I bought from Home Depot in 2005. Got the 9-year one. Installed it myself. So far so good.

    Good luck.
