    T-Stat Programming

I am looking to purchase a new thermostat. Some say they have 24 hour programming, and some say they have 5+1+1 programming, what is the difference?

5-1-1 refers to the days of the week. For normal people who work Monday through Friday, the '5' sets the program (1 day is copied to the other 4). For those who like to sleep in on the weekend, you have the option to make changes (can be different) for Saturday and Sunday.

Some 5-1-1 stats can change the arrangement so that the '5' represents (example) Tuesday through Saturday.

A 7-day programmable allows one to program every day differently. For those with an alternating (or wierd) work schedule (early-late-early, etc.), this is ideal.

All programmables allow the programs to span 24 hours.

Don't think I've sold a thermostat for your lower price in 7 years.
