Oxygen Barrier in Pex ASTM O2239

Just removed about 1000 feet of 3/4 inch pex. Lots of dark material. Is this because the pex above (might be D2239) does not have oxygen barrier?

I assume it it necessary that all radiant floor installations SHOULD use oxygen barrier pex.

Anyone know if ASTM has a website to check if this has or does not have oxygen barrier.

Your best bet is to go to the manufacturer. ASTM does have a site. If you Google ASTM D-2239, you will go to their bookstore. They will tell you what the standard is for plastics. They define the standard. It is up to the individual manufactureres to produce a product that meets the standard and only they can tell you if they do.
