    Wow.

That furnace is no harder to connect to an existing zone system then any other furnace.

What confused him, is he didn't now what to do about the 2 stage heat.
Do you know the brand and mod number for youor zoning system.
Some are not able to control a 2 stage heat furnace, in that case you have to use the furnace timer.
And I'm guessing he is any way.

    I wouldn't wait till Saturday.

    Others may disagree with me.
But, I'd call him back, and ask him to be there early tomorrow morning.
If he says he can't make it.
I'd tell him that when he gets there Saturday, I'll give him a new check, because I'm stopping payment on the one he has now. And until the furnace works right, he won't be pais in full.

Is your fan always running? As stated above it could be the source of your noise.
Why did you downgrade to a single zone (as asked above also)??

The manual to that furnace should be hanging right next to it...the fact that he took it means he is clueless if you ask me. What about the next tech?

As far as him coming back on Saturday....my company would have been back out there ten minutes after your call to make sure you were happy. Make sure you get the answers to your questions and make sure he takes care of things to your satisfaction.
Nope the fan is not always running, it almost sounds like a transformer humming. I did not downgrade, he did. I will take care of that issue.
....and I wish your company was here. This is the first time I have ever had an issue with any contractor before. 99.999% have been on the ball.

    Please remove your email link.

You should put it in your profile.

If you write it out, its usually ok.EG: dbates at edssupply dot com

Bots search sites for email addy's. Once they find one, they go through the whole system, slowing it down.
