I need a water feeder

hey gang, where can I find a clog-free water feeder? I am constantly going to customers home to find a clogged water feeder. Does anyone else notice that problem?

If your talking pressure reducing valve to feed water to a water boiler, there is no such thing. And the clogging is telling you how bad their water is.

you are right about the water. I normally service customers in the city and the water is a mess. maybe some of us brainiacts can invent a water feeder that will not clog. I've replaced alot of boilers that burned because of it.

You should also check to see why they use so much water in a closed system.

Exactly! Fill it and forget it, unless there's leaks or a bad air bleeder why would you need so much make-up water? Then again, if the system is tight and the water just sits in the feed valve line for a million years, that can cause problems too.

I do alot of service work on boilers. (cleaning and service) Part of the service is to make sure the water feeder works. Someone asked why would I need so much make up water. The water feeder may sit waiting to feed water for a year or two before it actually opens. The problem is dirt or rust or whatever sits there too and clogs the feeder. All my current comtomers don't have that problem because I service there unit once a year. It's those others that don't know about my service or are to cheap to have their unit serviced that I'm talking about. Also rental units where the landlord is absent most of the time. They also never have their heating unit serviced before moving in a tentant. How many carbon monixcide stories have you heard about that lead back to the heating unit because of a clogged water feeder?

All CO problems are caused by non working water feeders.
