Heat pump continous running

Installed ducane ht pump approx 1yr ago, ht pump and blower motor will not shut down when thermostat is satisfied. Able to shut down unit by changing the temp on the stat, when i move temp up on the stat the same thing occurs. Wont stop running on its own.

are you saying when the thermostat is set at 70 and it shows 70 it won't shut off? Or are you saying it is set at 70 and it gets up to 71 and won't shut off? Better quality tstats come on and go off at there set points meaning you should not see 69 or 71 if it is set at 70.
