    What's your audience?

Is this forum for any specific type of HVAC system? I have a forced hot water oil fired boiler with tankless water heater. The house has 3 zones each with it's own circulating pump. It was installed and maintained by a local oil dealer for over 30 years. The only DIY thing I did was add a wireless thermostat because one of the zones did not heat the rooms (kitchen, dining, living) ok with one thermostat position. I move it around with me so it's 70 wherever I am.

Is this the type of system that your PROs have experience with?

    Thanks, Retired MSEE

My point is that I was afraid that your members were only interested in gas or steam. I found this out only after a while on other HVAC forums. I have been messaging here under the Title "Weil-Mclain dead"

I was following that tread for a while and it seemed to me you were diven a lot of good options for your problem

I stopped servicing oil some years ago because i didnt like smelling like oil all the time. I like oil heat better then gas and feel if it is set up properly it can be cheaper in the long run

The company i get my oil from has said it is hard to believe that i only use about 8 to ten gallons a week in a 1700sq ft house

total cost to heat this season so far has been 550

there are a lot of oil techs on this board and a lot of hydronic techs also
