    Are York HP's Demand Defrost?

I purchased my York Affinity 3-ton HP early 2007. Is this HP a demand defrost HP or is it time based?

All Affinity heat pumps are demand defrost.

Does something seem to be wrong with yours.

How many times must one fix something before it is fixed?

No. I just noticed that the York website "advertises" an accessory called a Demand Defrost Control Board Kit:

Therefore, I assumed that it there was an accessory to be purchased then factory HP would not be demand defrost.

    Thanks

The Affinity came with it, as do the Acclimates, an Echelon's

If it was anccessory you had to buy, you would have to buy the sensors for it also.

I've installed both the Affinities, and Acclimates. And everyone of them has the demand defrost.
They use the same board in the single stage as they do in the 2 stage. Makes it nice.
