Could be the sensor or just infaltration. Ohm the sensor and corresponding temp to see if its working.
I have a new infinity gas furnace, a/c unit, and an infinity thermostat. I understand that the infinity thermostat automatically adjusts the indoor humidity levels called for depending on the temperature outside. However, despite the indoor humidity level called for never being reached, I am getting moisture on the inside of my storm windows. The unit currently reads 35% and is calling for 45% indoor humidity. Do you think the sensor is bad and the actual indoor humidity levels are higher than reflected by the thermostat? Thanks

Do you have a humidifier?
45% RH inside is pretty high. If the control looks at the outdoor temp, it may not be allowing higher than 35% humidity. I was on a new Aprilaire automatic control on a cold day. House was reading 29% and the control wouldn't bring on the humidifier.

The lower the out side air temperature is the lower the humidity should be, otherwise you will get moisture on the windows and maybe on walls that have restricted airflow (curtains or the like) Is there an outside air sensor for sure and is the system set up to run that way? Kind of sounds like it is not…
If it is real cold where you live then 45% is way to much, even 35% sounds high. Good luck.

Sorry I just realized you said you have an April air...is it even tied into the system controls or is it running of it's own controls?

I believe its tied into the infinity thermostat. The thermostat gives an actual humidity reading and a recommended reading that automatically changes with the outdoor temps. The thermostat also indicates if the humidifier is on or off so it looks like the thermostat is talking to the humidifier which leads me to the idea that something is defective. I live in Washington dc where it can get moderately cold -low twenties at night. Thanks
I have similar issues with my Infinity setup. I plan on measuring the actual humidity near the Infinity Controller then using the offset feature in the Advanced\Setup menu to adjust the actual humidity displayed to that number. While mine seems to run all the time without ever geting to the 45 degree setpoint that often, I must admit that the house has not felt dry at all this winter.
How do you plan to read the actual humidity? Also, isn't 45 % in any event a very high humidity level. Does anyone have an opinion on what it should run? thanks
My infinity system shows two humidy settings -- one for cooling humidity and one for heating humidity.
The cooling humidity level only goes down to about 42 I think. I think 45 is the mid-point for cooling humidity.
Are you looking at the cooling humidity setting, instead of the heating humidity setting?
I think in winter, you don't want the humidity level to be above 35 anyway. Usually between 32 and 35 is about right.
