References for Newbies
I originally posted this note over in the educational forum, but never thought about the fact that the educational forum is a restricted one, so some folks who might be interested would never see it ..........
I set up a site where those who are interested can download PDF's and such which might be useful learning and reference material for newbies.
There won't be much, if anything, there that's new or of interest to experienced HVACR types. But that is not my intention.
All of it should be freely available content. A fair number of the PDFs are DOD and DOE publications covering HVAC subjects. Most of it is available in any number of other locations on the internet. But as I've followed many a post from a newbie in HVAC-Talk asking about where and what to look for in free educational material, it seemed to me that some don't know where to look or what to look for in the first place. On this web site, shown below, each file has a text description telling a bit about it and it's contents. So one does not have to spend time downloading things you didn't want or need, or spend the time sifting thru the 100,000,000 results you might turn up after having done a Google search.
I do occasionally continue to add material to the site, from time to time.
If 1 person finds even 1 thing on the site which he or she finds useful, it will have accomplished its purpose for me.
