    Agreed, but around here, if it's on a foundation and you install a new duct system, it will pass inspection.

    what about the insurance adjuster when the structure burns to the ground?

    A trailer? Are you from the back woods? I agree with HeyBob. I could understand having issues with a manufactured home, but I wouldnt think you would have a problem installing a standard furnace in an onsite built basement.

    My home sits on almost 6 acres of land with a full basement; I wouldn't consider it a trailer. Or should I.......it did use to have wheels, . I really don't think installing a better furnace is going to piss the insurance adjuster off especially if it is done by a licensed HVAC contractor. I'm just looking for the best solution with the best results, but still keep in mind that I don't own a money tree.
