Should be about the same speed your A/C runs now.
I'm leaning toward having an IAQ (or Trane 900) installed when it comes time to get the HP.

Although I thought the 803 could do 3 stages of heat. Wouldn't HP --> gas stage 1 --> gas stage 2 work that way? Or is dual fuel a different animal?

Doesn't handle duel fuel that way.

    Thanks for the info, beenthere.

Our xv95 installer never spelled out the stat options, though he told us we were getting the very top of the line Trane stat. I guess that was the case at the time. But, I'm definitely going to get the IAQ when we get the HP. (Or the Trane version if it makes the warranty people happy.) I'd rather have the added functionality/flexibility that the IAQ provides.

So, for heating, are the hp fan speeds in a 2 stage more or less comparable to the fan speeds of 2 stage gas heat?

A 3 ton 2 stage HP would have fan speeds alittle less then the 80,000 btu furnace.
A 4 ton 2 stage HP, the second stage air for the HP would be more then an 80,000 BTU furnace.
