    went to the Carnegie science center yesterday with the kids
    happened to see this out the window

    Hey, that's probably some ol' swabbies handywork. Seems that our industry realy came into its own at the hands of ex-Navy mates who learned refrigeration in the service. All the civilians were still slidin' ice by the ton around and it was when the Navy guys came ashore that there were finally some people who knew refrigeration. So it's the Navy's fault we're all doin' this today!

    That sub used to be here in Tampa. I toured it as a kid. I don't recall if it had a/c then.

    It's likely that submarine doesn't go underwater anymore I suppose. I can't say this is uncommon, though. I've seen similar masterpieces like this myself.

    Yep, good eye, looks like HDH series they were 12 seer.
    Remember, some poor fool has to work on what you install someday, and it might even be you.
