    Bakers pride y600 problem

Looked at a Bakers pride y600 deck oven for a fellow.
    His complaint was "Fumes"
At start-up this thing puts off a very acidic smelling fume, burns he eyes nose and throat. it settels down after awhile.
I checked the flame color and found nothing but blue flames. I also noticed that the 2 burners were burning unevenly and attempted to adjust air/fuel mixture on the right side, but found it would not respond to additional air.
according to the owner the company that sold and installed it lost one of the orifices. They had a blank on the truck and drilled it. It was drilled way off center and the inside seem to be a bit chewed. I suggested ordering a new replacement.

Anyone have an Idea as to the cause of the fumes ?

Aldehydes = poor combustion. Needs proper set-up.

Two ideas. First, the orifice must be sized correctly, centering is easy, they come with a dent in the center. Secondly, you will get fumes at startup for the incorrect combustion idea, or if they use or have used a cleaning agent in the deck. This usually is accompanied with light grey smoke at first.
