    On 115 volt power cord the smooth side is hot, ribbed is neutral.

    Believe me i did call traulsen if you go back a few pages you can see my person notes with traulsen,Hobart numbers i was told to leave my # for theengineers to look at the problem and return that call and no calls back that is when i reached for you guys honestly, the next time im in a pickle you are my first choice . Thank you.
