Amen to that. Did a favor for an old bosses neighbor, only charged a service call (she shut emergency switch instead of light switch) called him everyday till he gave her money back.

are there any companies here in florida that will take on a residential service/installer and train them in the commericial field? because i would love that kind of oppurtunity, the attics are getting old..

Brenster, there's lots of shops here in Tampa that would gladly take someone with a great attitude, no ego, and proven track record on the residential side.

The fundamentals will never change, no matter what it is you're working on. If your understanding of electrical principles and troubleshooting is sound, you'll do well.

You can get out of the attics and on to a white-hot rubber roof in the middle of july

yeah, i have been searching the tampa area, looking for apprentice or anything in the commerical area..right now i would be happy to come in as entry level just to get my foot in the door, Daytona beach is dead, i'm thinking Orlando or Tampa. I hate saying this but i wish it would get hot out .

If Orlando's not too far out for you, I would try MSI. They stay busy year round, and have one of the best apprenticeship programs/training facilities in the state.
