    Can humidifier damage blower motor?

I am considering adding bypass humidifier (on return side) to my 2 stage VS gas fired furnace. Am concerned about moisture damaging blower motor. I have searched past threads on this subject, and have found no pertinent info. Am I being overly protective of my VS motor?
