Help determining SEER EER

Furnace - 58MXB080-F-1-20
A/C - 24APA542
Coil - CNPVP4221ATAABAA

Furnace - 58MXB080-F-1-20
A/C - 24APA560
Coil - CNPVP6024ATA

Are you sure you have the coil model numbers right.

I can find cap coil ratings, not cnp.

Here's what I found from the ARI site, www.ARIDirectory.org :

24APA518, CNPV*2417, 58MV(not C)B040:
ARI# 1031793. 13.2 EER, 16 SEER

24APA542, CNPV*4221, 58MV(not X)B080-20:
ARI#1390282. 12.55 EER, 15 SEER

No info on 24APA560.

I used the attachment above, it was helpful, except that the furnace was not listed. gary_g came back with real numbers which was great. The issue may be that the furnace are comfort series and the a/c and coil are performance series.

Sorry this doesn't have to do with your question of the SEER/EER numbers, but it is important.

10 tons of cooling for our (MD/DC) area seems excessive. Did you make sure the contractor did a heat load calculation to determine proper sizing? My home is ~2500 sq. ft. and has 3.5 tons of cooling. I don't know what area you are in particularly though, so I can't envision the relative size of the homes.

My home is ~2500 sq. ft. and has 3.5 tons of cooling. I don't know what area you are in particularly though, so I can't envision the relative size of the homes.

Home is likely ( ?) 7,000 square feet ( ~ 3 x normal)
or he likes indoor temperature at < 72' F in the summer.

I would contact Carrier directly and have them provide ARI#s for the system matches that are proposed.

dan_sw is correct, its over 7,000 sqft finished on 4 levels. I will contact carrier as suggested by gary_g. I had not thought of that.

The only response I had gotten from the contractor was that it was at least 14 each zone.
