Actually, Clinton holds the record for referencing Jesus. That is documented.

? what did you mean by that? He served two terms, couldn't serve another. He is in a bad place now? I don't get that as a come back.
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

I thought k_fridge was referring to Hillary, not Bill. He may have mentioned jesus, but his policies weren't influenced by his faith. We have enough Christians trying to shove their beliefs onto everyone else, trying to tell us what's right, what's wrong, what we should and should not watch on TV, etc. As for being in a bad place, no, I don't think Bill is bad off. One question though, does anyone else think his rants were intended to hurt Hillary...maybe his way of saying you people really don't want to vote for this woman? He was a shrewd campaigner, maybe the best, so it seems strange he would go off like he did.

You never listened to Bill give one of his star performances when he tried to convince the world he was a good guy and was religious and used Jesus's name.

He and Hillary are the biggest liars we have ever seen in the White House. And when if ever have you or anyone else ever heard Hillary mention Jesus or religion or Christianity.

Coming from her it would sound so fake as every one knows she talks like a sailor on shore leave and one who has never even thought about religion. To even think Hillary and not Bill would use Jesus's name is funny.

My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them. It is not to inaugurate new programs, but to cancel old ones that do violence to the Constitution."

Umm..early in her campaign. And all politicians are liars, not just the Clintons. The country was in a lot better shape when Bill was president than it is now. And everyone knows she talks like a sailor? Who cares? I cuss like a sailor as well, does that make me a worse person than someone who doesn't? No politician should base his policies on his religious beliefs. Not everyone has the same beliefs, and some people don't believe in religion at all.

President Bush has not based his policies upon his religion. He has said that his faith guides him in decisions. Faith or lack of it guides most people in their decisions. When you 'do the right thing' is it because there is a statement saying to do it or is it your faith/training/belief system?

Do not twist it to suit. Hillary has faith that guides her as well. She is a socialist committed to taking from the haves and giving to the havenots. Bill had his faith in not getting caught. Obama is a self professed Christian.

Would you rather all politicians said they had no faith in anything to guide them?

This is rapidly becoming a silly and pointless debate.

I think McCain could do a lot worse than chosing Mike Huckabee as a running mate. He could probably do better too but, someone's gotta do it that's willing.

I'm not sure what the difference is between basing your policies on your religion belief and having your faith guide you. Seems to be the same thing in my opinion. And I remember Bush stating his faith wouldn't allow him to support expanding stem cell research. What someones religious beliefs are may not be what's best for the country, unfortunately, to many christians think that their beleifs are all that matters, and that everyone should share their beliefs, and live by their standards.

So, you think Data from Star Trek TNG would be a better choice as a leader.

We're all supposed to be humans, I don't think anyone can truthfully separate their faith and beliefs from the rest of their 'being'.

Are you suggesting that anyone can?

You really don't believe that do you?

Basing your policies on your religion is NOT the same thing as having faith GUIDE you.

Are you the type of person to argue the what the definition of the word is is?
