I am working in a hospital and we have a few floors in the "old building" that have trane induction units installed in the ceilings in patient rooms. Problem is the primary air is coming from a 4 inch flex and has a lot of volume but when it goes thru the unit I am loosing about 36 degrees! primary air in summer mode is 110 but discharge at best is 74. on days when the temp is around 40 -50 the rooms are cold. energy management has the setpoint for summer winter at 40 degrees. above 40 the system is in summer mode. chill water goes thru coil inside the induction unit. I am having problems getting any good performance out of these things. And as best I can tell it has been an ongoing issue. Just wondering if anyone has confronted this problem in there building and what solutions you may have come up with?...
thanks
