    truly hacked true TSSU-48-12

what a hacked up true prep table, i had to rub my eyes to see if i was seing properly

i wish my camera was not broke

some (refer tech) was out there about a week ago and could not get it to stop freezing up

so he added a squirel cage and blower assembly in addition to the blower that was already working

there was an r-12 condensing unit on, supposed to be 134-a,

sight glass was installed (what a waste) the liquid dryer was totally clogged

the evap has multiple leaks on the bends, after i repaired 2 leaks at my shop it seemed

like more leaks started appearing under nitro charge, i am tired of being called back on these fuggers due

to new leaks, i recommend new evaps instead of fixing leaks (on anything near 5 years old)

also i am recommending for this system a new 134-a condensing

repairs are gonna be expensive, but i need to cover my a$$

this particular style true prep table always seems to leak in the same bends

have yall seen the same thing or what?

    True

Myself I'm not a Fan of "True" although there are Millions of them out there
They take the cond unit, Evap and SQUEEZE every btu they can get out of it , All thats just dandy at sea level but get it up to the Mile High city al of a sudden you get problems! I Recommend McCall (owned by Manitowoc) is a great R/I

Come to Guam I can show you hack jobs that will knock you on the floor hahahahaha, yes I have seen alot of trues have the leaks you described, if it is an R-12 unit I would try to sell a whole new prep table to him, if not 134-A cond and/or evap would be the ticket.

was this unit in subway? dont know about fixing the freezing up prob but. subway mandates they use plastic condiment containers. we all now how well plastic transfers heat. their inspectors are worse than the heatlh d. always come at 2pm after lunch and 42* written up. i have 3 or 4 units with off cycle defrost and a clothes dryer blower directed at the condiment rack. it would be easy if they just let them use stainless. i would never own a subway . jbb ps wasnt me on the r12 cond unit pss if the coil leaks change it its a losing battle on true

    True

If the coil is leaking that much I would bet the drain pan below the coil will start leaking soon. They weren't painted on the inside a few years ago. Worked on a 6 years old cabinet and the pan is shot. Yes I tried silicone, didn't last long.
