Saltless rubs and mops...
Not that I suffer from high blood pressure but if I don't watch it I will. Probably the case with most of us here.
So, anyone got some good saltless or sodium free rub or mop recipes?
I'm working on one this weekend that if good I'll post."...refresh my memory. When did I start caring about this stuff...?"

Well, how did it taste?

Still working on it. Some recipes I have done are variations of the more common ones...less the salt. But then there seems to be something missing.
I've got a couple that are close though. When I'm happy with them I'll let you all know.
On with the quest..."...refresh my memory. When did I start caring about this stuff...?"

The salt isn't there just for the taste...Something to do with osmosis and the salt carries flavor into the meat and breaks down something...It was on an episode of good eats last week..."Overkill is an often underrated achievement", Will Hayden -- Red Jacket Firearms
