    weird failures with grasslin clocks

I've come across 3 clocks that all failed in the same way...2 of them were a littler older, 1 was under 4 months old.

Just wondering if anyone else has came across grasslin clocks that don't terminate..??

All 3 of these calls within a month of each other, customers complained of excessive condensation on the ceiling and dripping/freezing on the floor. So I'm first suspecting the obvious that its staying in defrost too long.
And sure enough it was the clocks all 3 times....checked across N and X @ evaps and had 0 volts so 3 wire working ok...went to timer and everytime found voltage at X terminal but timer not terminating.

Now, the ones I replaced weren't the newer DTAV40 they were something like DTSX-240-M or along those lines.
I've read on here recently that all these weird issues have been fixed with the DTAV40..?
My boss still doesn't like them and advises us to replace with a paragon when its not a warranty issue

    right....thanks guys.
The only thing i do like that grasslins have that paragons don't is each defrost can be set for different lengths..
But isn't there a paragon that can do that too?

It automatically selects for dual voltage.

One time a grasslin caught on fire on top of the freezer box. It was a 2 alarm fire, the only damage was to some wires to freezer and the POS that caused/deserved the flames.

Had a nice one today! Walk in freezer. Contractor installed time clock 6" to the left of the evap on the wall! Anyhow, it works! But the call today was the freezer was warming up. Upon arrival I found boxes on top shelf jammed up against the timer...........ok! Cleared the boxes, ran a defrost.
( the evap was Really frosted up!) defrosted great. Hoping without the boxes holding the timer back, tonight will be quiet.
