Might want to hold onto them. I pay 160 for a 30 pounder around here.
Can someone please explain to me -
Why is there never enough time to do it right the first time, but plenty of time to do it twice?

R22 is in the middle of a political turmoil and the value is very volatile just like precious metals. It was never expensive to begin with. New equipment using 22 was banned in 2010, so the install base will not be rising and as equipment age and rebates encouraging new units, the demand will only go down.

The supply depends on the mood of the government. Buyer does not care a bit about what you paid for it. If you bought them when the prices peaked a year or so ago, be ready to lose money.
