Wait until you see the '08 model if you think the '07 and older models are fast.

Airmech, post up some photos when you get the bikes.

Is that faster than my CB 750 Four or My Kawasaki Z1?
Never heard of one of those, still stuck in the '70's!

a new stock cb 750 would of went around 13 seconds in the quarter mile with a top speed of 130mph.
a new stock z1 would of went around 12 seconds in the quarter mile with a top speed of 145mph
the new stock hayabusa will go down the quarter mile in 9.5 seconds with a top speed of 186mph
the reason the new stock busa (ONLY) goes 186mph in the top end is due to the fact that the
federal government has mandated that a governer be placed on the ignition system,
but for $109.00 that governor is easily bypassed with a plug in device
once the device is added the stock hayabusa will reach top speed of 195mph
short answer yes they are faster than the cb's and the z1's

08 busa = TICKET MONSTER!
Fireman friend bought a used '05 streched the hole 8 yards.
He got caught behind grandma on a two lane rode doing 30 for two miles. The first oppurtunity he just passed her (didn't crank on it) and pulled in front. The local patrol (who was just coming over the hill with radar on at the time) pulled him over. The ticket was for 97 mph. $$$$$$$$
He said it is not happy under 65.
Be safe!Life is too short, Behappy!

I like the Busa better than the zx14 when doing 120+. The 14 does not come with a stearing damper and I think it should. You may want to get a laser jammer and a top of the line rardar detector in case you get the need for speed.
Heres my zx14 with the flame stickers off.
